The Calvin Woodland Sr. Foundation was birthed in 2000 by family and friends in honor of the Legacy of Calvin Sr., who fought for his community in Ward 8, of Washington, D.C. for over 30 years.


The Calvin Woodland, Sr. Foundation is a community based non-profit 501c 3 organization that is committed to developing and imparting programs and services that remove the barriers that negatively impact programs and services of low-income residents along with providing activities and services for the children of Ward 8 communities and surrounding areas of Washington, D.C.


In 2010, we expanded our services to an Youth Work Readiness Training Program through Dept. of Employment Services where we teach We provide an array of training which includes; Listening Skills, Communication Skills, Behavioral Modification, Violence Prevention, Resume Preparation, Financial Workshops, Team Building along with Entrepreneurship.


Our Mission continues to expand as the needs of Ward 8 expands through empowerment and personal development of children and families.
